All turbochargers go through a meticulous tear down and inspection program with a build up of 100% new parts required by the manufacturer and the FAA. They are then assembled by the most experienced crew in the business and are run on the VSR turbocharger test machine.
Overhauled wastegates always get a new butterfly valve shaft and bushings. All new seals, u-cups and hardware are also used which will assure an extended life service from them.
Our controllers are the best. We use 100% of new parts, replacement called out for in the latest overhaul manuals and technical data. Our units are assembled, tested and calibrated on factory authorized test equipment by the most experienced and knowledgeable technicians in the business.

Other overhaul shops only balance the compressor and turbine wheels separately and then assemble and ship the turbo with no run time. We have the equipment and technology to test run our turbochargers after assembly to 50,000 RPM. This gives us a chance to fine tune the balance of the completed unit so it will vibrate less, run smoother and last longer. This allows us to catch any flaws or inconsistencies in the turbo before it leaves our shop. Main Turbo Systems is the only FAA overhaul repair station using this test equipment in the United States.
